Who the Frag Am I?

I don’t know who I am. I have a lot of pieces but I don’t know how to fit them together. This blog is a very personal attempt to look at myself and see what’s there.

Towards this goal, I’ll be discussing the topics that interest me most. Currently these include autism/Asperger’s, disability, fat acceptance, and feminism. Oh, and reptiles. And gaming. And probably more.

As for me: I am in my mid-30s, biologically female, white, and in a heterosexual marriage. I grew up working-class poor, went to college on a scholarship, and now work from home as a computer programmer in a decidedly middle-class environment. I have been officially diagnosed with depression and anxiety, informally diagnosed with bipolar disorder (by the same psychiatrist), and I have self-diagnosed Asperger’s Syndrome.

Comment Policy

I reserve the right to edit, delete, and block any and all comments on this blog, as I see fit. Keep in mind when you comment that this is a personal blog about fairly personal topics. I enjoy discussion but I won’t put up with disrespect towards myself or other commenters, ‘splaining*, or personal attacks.

* ‘splain (intransitive verb) – To explain in a patronizing manner, assuming total ignorance on the part of those listening. See What Is ’splainin’? And Why Should I Care? on FWD/Forward for more in-depth analysis.
